Description:
An unusual Staffordshire inkwell featuring a cat and kitten pawing a very colourful bird, on a blue enamel, gilt lined base. Well decorated, the cats sponged in black & yellow and very fine facial features, the bird contrasting well in pink, green and ochre.
Circa 1840
Approx - 2.25 inches (55mm) tall.
In very good condition throughout.
